The answer will depend on the Shiba Inu dog’s age, prior preferences, how it was raised, the environment, and many other factors.
In Jimmy’s case, when he was a puppy (10 weeks through six months), his sleep schedule with us was a bit unpredictable, especially in the beginning. When we first got Jimmy at 10 weeks, he was also going through his potty training. Sometimes he would wake us up at 2AM because he wants to go to the yard and pee. In other instances, we would wake up in the morning to see he already had an accident.
After the 6 month mark, Jimmy’s habits and abilities became more mature. From that age and on, he has been able to follow our sleeping schedule and knows what to expect in the evening.
